Their is a much cheaper but identical dji version of this lens which they made for their mft interchangable lens mounted drones. Only difference is lens coating. Check it out if anyone is interested in this lens but is on a budget

many of the images I would not call 'abstract'

Hey mate, this might sound really dumb to ask but this is a film camera so I'm trying to figure out how did you get all your shots on the computer? Did you have to physically scan your film or does this camera have some kind of image transfer via some cable?

If i take a photograph that is in black and white, it’s already an abstraction. A photograph in itself is an abstraction a simplification of the world. So this easily boils down to only some sort of “abstract” aesthetic just for the sake of it. Im not saying it’s wrong…but i think this could be delved more deeply into…example why the abtract movement came about in art history. Like where is the line? What truly is abstract.

Excellent video guys, loved watching it. Allow me to give my opinion on the subject: Like we (and that is we as photography enthusiasts) always do is look back on those few photographers of the past that made a point in street photography. I stopped doing that cause what I see in your video (and work from others in other good videos) the nowadays street photographers are easily on par with those ancient photographers. Like your said with that photo of Steve Gengler (well done Steve) it is something you never ever have seen . The Dinos are dead, long live the new ones ! Thanks for sharing, keep up the good work, your channel is among the best of the best.

The thing I love about Tim Baker's photo, is that the left-hand section looks like it's just the same window, but actually it's a mirror, and you're seeing what's over your right shoulder. It's a very clever composition.

I absolutely love that you're using the 6D in 2023. Possibly one of Canon's best cameras.

My M10-R is heating and using up the battery in matter of hours. The problem is that there is no service for this camera any longer. Be mindful when diving in Leica world. The sect has ugly secrets you find out once you have a camera that does not work, there is no warranty and you need to wait for one year to get it back from Wetzlar repaired or not repaired. Is it worth it? Your choice. PS. I have an M6, M9, and an M10-R. I know what I am talking about.

I use this lens on my X-T5 a lot for my street photography but I'm keen to try the Samang I've just bought.

The way the music volume keeps increasing and decreasing when there's a break in conversation is super distracting. 😅

Curious about using the acros simulation as I’ve used it extensively, are you adjusting contrast in post? Or are you using custom settings in camera? Just wondering because I rarely get the contrast you are achieving here without adjusting in post. Great work by the way. As a suggestion for films, while not actually b&w, the colors are muted enough that I often see it in b&w through my eyes and that is Northfork by the Polish Brothers. It is simply a master craft of visual storytelling and beauty. Every shot is a masterpiece. I highly recommend it for any photographic inspiration.

I love these kinds of videos! People watching the people watcher. Tho I would like to say that the attraction to that circular/repetitive activity is probably not OCD but more like stimming. Stimming gets a bad rap but it's essentially tickling your brain.

Truly one of the true creators of this genre in photography who like me work the same way they use manual focus lenses and think before they push the button. Not like today's self-proclaimed photographers with brilliant cameras and auto-focus lenses and mindless pictures. Admirations to you brother Matt

Great video. I like to shoot in colour and then convert to black and white, but I seem to see a shot in black and white. Also, I like to shoot inferred and that gets converted to black and white. I put a video up on seven years of black and white; that's not every picture I've taken, just one or two from each year.
